· Sunday, February 19, 2012 @ 4:00 PM—International Film Series in Cleveland. In celebration of Black History Month, Asians & Friends Cleveland is joining the LGBT Community Center in partnership with People of All Colors Together (PACT) Cleveland who will host a private screening at the Capitol Theatre (1390 W. 65 St., Cleveland, OH 44102). We will be viewing Brother Outsider: The Life and Times of Bayard Rustin. There will also be a post-film discussion led by a member of PACT. $5 suggested donation (more if you can, less if you can't). This movie event is sponsored by the National Association of Black and White Men Together (NABWMT). No RSVP is required. Remember to bring your friends! Contact AFC for more information.

· Saturday, February 25, 2012 @ 3:00 PM—Project Mah Jongg Exhibition & Dinner in Beachwood. Project Mah Jongg is the first exhibition of its kind—taking visitors on an exploration of the game’s cultural meanings through sight, sound, text, and play. The game of mah jongg is explored in dynamic formats throughout the exhibition, including 20th-century popular objects and a visitor-activated soundscape that features clacking tiles, exclamations from games by Jewish-American and Chinese-American players, reminiscences, and vintage music.
